These creatures have no other purpose than to kill and eat humans, so whenever they breach the walls protecting civilization it’s up to soldiers like Eren and his best friend Armin to take them out before they can devour more innocent people. It sounds simple enough but when these giants start showing signs of intelligence things get much more complicated very quickly – especially since not all titans are mindless beasts!
This show brings a lot of intensity right off the bat as well, so you really get a sense of what it’s like to live in Eren’s world. Things only escalate from there though and the intensity never lets up for an instant – which is great if that sort of thing appeals to you!
One major reason Attack on Titan has been able to captivate audiences around the globe is its cast of characters. Everyone here feels fleshed-out enough to be realistic but they also have plenty of depth too, making them feel very relatable even when their actions might not seem quite normal by conventional standards.
